Is My Friend Addicted to Drugs?

You don't need to diagnose your friend to take what you're seeing seriously. This isn't a test and there's no score. Answer honestly — nothing you select is saved or sent anywhere, and you can close this page at any time.

About 3 minutes · private, nothing is saved

This checklist draws on the same diagnostic framework clinicians use for substance use disorder — not a specific test for your friend, but a way to recognize the pattern from the outside. Only a licensed clinician who’s actually met your friend can tell you more than that.

Bringing this up with someone you care about is hard, and there’s no script that makes it easy. Our admissions team can talk you through it — you’re allowed to call just for yourself, before you’ve said anything to your friend at all.
